Darci and Lindsey
Darci had her friend Lindsey over on Saturday. This was Darci's acutual first friend over that wasn't family. They had a great time. Played dressup and tea party all day. I hope the two of them are frends forever. Lindsey's mom, Karla and I are very good friends. They both are very sweet.
Darci's Blackberry Pie
We got the blackberries at the Farmer's Market and Darci wanted so bad to make a pie with the berries. She wanted to use the extra berries on top to make a smiley face. So here I go trying to think how to make a pie. (I don't like pie crust, cobbler I could handle a little.) Wilbur told me about his Granny Jones's blackberry pie that sounded alot like a cobbler. I found a couple of recipes similar to what he was explaining and kinda put them together. I measured and Darci did the rest. She did a very good job. She is getting better about holding the stuff over the bowl. Usually she gets to excited and it ends up everywhere but the bowl. The pie/cobbler was excellent. Darci did a great job! I would love to have a Rachael Ray and Bobby Flay here in the house.
First Day of Preschool
Today was Darci's actual first day of class at her preschool. Ms Linda is her teacher. She has been going there for a couple of months now but they started the school classes today. She came home telling me all the things that start with the letter A and telling me the difference between the big A and the little a. They will study a different letter each week to begin with.
I didn't add alot of the growing up Bret has been doing lately in the last entry. Too traumatic for me. My little man is growing so much so fast. He not only is saying words like Mama, Daddy, Darci, Nana, Nonna, and Poppa, but now he has started saying his friends from school's name. Bryar is one of his buddies and it is super cute to hear him say his name. He also talks about Ms DeDe and Ms Linda.
Both are just growing up way to fast. As I am writing this Darci is standing on my bed singing along with High School Musical. Makes me sad just yesterday I was getting ready to have her and now she is almost 5.
Thanks, Nana for the new shoes and clothes. Bret thinks he is something with the new big boy shoes.
Just A Funny
Uncle Dave and Lindsey will like this one..
Friday I had the stomach virus and was stuck in the bedroom all day and night so we couldn't go to the football game. Darci wanted to listen to it on her Daddy's little radio with the headphones. I asked her if she had heard touchdown Outlaws yet and she said no but i did her there was a "Bumble" on the play a couple of times. I would just like to know what went through her mind about what a bumble was??
First Soccer Game
Soccer Party
Soccer has been over for a couple of weeks now and I have just now had time to add these pics. Some are of the party and some are from games. I don't now how I didn't get any pics of the games Nana came to and Pawpaw came to the last game and I missed that pic too. I had one pic of a game that Halle and Sydney came to. They came to watch their cousin Landon, who was on the opposing team, and had fun with Darci too.
Darci's 5th Birthday Party
We had Darci's 5th birthday party at the park. We had lots of fun. We were so afraid it was going to be too cold but it turned out just right. Of course it was Hannah Montana themed. She loves Hannah. I love to watch the show myself. She got lots of Hannah stuff and a Sharpay Barbie. Lots of make-up and craft stuff. She loves to do crafts and is really getting into Barbie now too.
Thank you to everyone who helped me. It takes a lot when you have a littler one there to watch after and still try and make everything go ok. Bret kept looking back at me cause he had so much freedom. He was like aren't you coming to get me. He did really good playing and not just running from one end of the earth to the other. Devyn, Twila and Aunt Deb helped me alot with him.
She loves Pebbles and Pebbles loves Her!!
This has to be one of the most rotten dogs on earth.
